Year of Graduation: 2017
Hi! I am a former graduate from BETA. Currently, I'm an Aircraft Technician at Envoy Airlines, a part of the American Airlines Group. BETA has helped me to prepare for this career in many ways. In particular, digital electronics has taught me a lot about binary coding the the use of a multi-meter. Additionally, the Architecture and Intro To Engineering courses taught me to read schematics. I have integrated these strategies on a daily basis, when troubleshooting and correcting aircraft discrepancies. BETA has encouraged me as a student and has prepared me to be successful in pursuing my dream career.

Year of graduation: 2016
Hello, my name is Samia Islam and I graduated Bronx Engineering & Technology Academy in the year of 2016. I am grateful for this school because I was able to have great mentors who helped me through my college process and who tend to have a huge impact in what I am doing today. Being a high school student, I was confused as to what I wanted to pursue. However, I had the opportunity to intern at Acxiom Corporation as a Digital Marketing Intern and this experience made me want to pursue a career in the marketing field.
I am currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration – Marketing at Lehman College. Recently, I have been a part of a program known as The Small Business Consulting Practice where I got the opportunity to work with three small businesses around the community. During this program, I was able to improve my soft skills, learn the abilities to construct websites, understand the importance of social media strategies, and network with entrepreneurs. Bronx Engineering & Technology Academy has helped me figure out my career path. Thank you to each and every one of you who has been a part of this journey!
